With the victory of Scott Brown in Massachusetts yesterday, the political environment is clearly in the hands of conservative ideals of free markets and individual liberty. It is “the people” who are driving the agenda, not the Republicans. So what should Republicans do next?

Tom Del Beccaro is the publisher of PoliticalVanguard.com, and I am a regular contributor there as well.  Tom published a recent article where he lays out some ideas of what Republicans can do to be truly successful in 2010.

There is a story someone told me once which I haven’t verified about a French leader who was in his office looking down at the people and said, “Oh! Look, there are my people. I need to go down and find out where they are going so I can lead them.” Well, if Republicans take this approach, they won’t get anywhere. They must decide where we must go from here drawing from the Constitution and casting a vision similar to Reagan’s who understood the people make the country strong, not the politicians.
