Opinion Times has a new look

Welcome to the updated OpinionTimes.com website. I’ve been wracking my brain for some time to figure out how to update the site and make it easier to navigate while still highlighting articles you are looking for and separating content into relevant sections which allow you to go right to the information you want. I believe I have accomplished this with the new Wordpress theme I just installed.

Knowing that ad placement can be a frustration for the reader, the site now puts them in more convenient places and allows you to feel the ads are part of the site instead of something I am pushing in your face. Don’t get me wrong, I want you to click on the ads and buy stuff! After all, I put this blog up not only to give you the best information possible, but I need your help to pay for it and make a profit at the same time.  So I need you to participate.    But if I ask you to participate in clicking on ad links, I don’t want to do so in a manner which is inconvenient for you.  I believe I have accomplished that with this update. And I hope you appreciate that. But still buy stuff! And I thank for your that in advance. :)

For a couple years now, I have used a Wordpress theme designed by Brian Gardner of StudioPress. I contacted him recently because I wanted to upgrade to the latest version of the theme of his I use. And here it is!  It’s an elegant site and very functional.   Back end manipulation of site components couldn’t be easier, and for you–the reader–it lets you easily go to the information you want most.

I hope you like the new look and feel. Be ready for fresh updates to come.
