Obama: the height of pride and corruption

I had an exchange on Facebook with a liberal friend, and for the purposes of editorial commentary, I wanted to share that person’s statement and my response to it:

My friend:

“Jim, I am a . . .  liberal and thrilled to have a man of intellect and integrity in the White House.”

My response:

“Intellect, I accept. Integrity……far from it. This is a corrupt administration and Obama is a typical politician who lied to get elected. He is seeking to destroy the foundation of capitalism which is the only moral way to mitigate the varied self-interests of individuals in a society. In a free market, scoundrels ultimately fail or are held in check. In government, they thrive.

“It is the height of hubris and megalomania for Barack Obama to seek government control of industry, the wanton destruction of the unborn and the takeover of a third of our economy through “health care reform.” And what is worse is he thinks he has accomplished anything in life which qualifies him to make the private and public judgments he makes about our society and the business conducted therein. That is arrogant pride which should be called out for ridicule by the most conservative and the most liberal among us.”
