A new study from Columbia University finds suicide attempt rates among American Adults on the rise, and more than half today say they’ve lost someone to suicide.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 55% of American Adults know someone who has committed suicide. Forty percent (40%) do not. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
The national survey of 1,000 American Adults was conducted on September 14 & 17, 2017 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
