Democrats take note. Remember the 9/12 event?

Do you remember the huge gathering of people on The Mall in Washington, DC?  Many had claimed it was a relatively small event.  Well, back then, I looked at as many pictures and video of the event as I could (see some of them here, here and here) and made a map on Google Maps which you see below.  I calculated between 1.2 million and 2 million people who attended after taking out the grassy area in the middle of The Mall and the reflecting pool in front of the Capitol.  It was huge.

Just a few points here:

1. The 9/12 event last year had a huge number of people attending. It was nothing short of amazing, and nothing like this has happened since Martin Luther King’s march on Washington which led to major civil rights reform.
2. Support for the Obama/Pelosi/Reid healthcare reform has been low ever since the August recess last year. And it is at its lowest point yet.
3. Obama is way down in the polls especially among likely voters especially among likely voters.
4. Congressional job approval and the generic ballot test show that Americans are seeking a change and trusting the Republicans on many issues.

Much of this is attributed to Obama’s policy agenda and specifically healthcare reform. Here’s the point:  If Democrats don’t put two and two together here, they will be sunk.  And I, frankly, believe General George S. Patton had it right:

No b***tard ever won a war by dying for his country.  He won it by making the other dumb poor b***tard die for his country.

Well, Democrats keep dying for their country by standing for failure in their policy agenda.  Hundreds of thousands of Americans (and especially people from The Bay State) are taking a stand.  Massachusetts will show how angry Americans are and will send shockwaves through the system Democrats will apparently be unable to detect.
