Barack Obama Still on the Warpath

Barack Obama’s State of the Union speech today used words to say he wanted everyone to come together and end partisanship, but in reality it was a screed against his opponents and the typical Democrat bogeymen.
Barack Obama attacked the Supreme Court. He attacked corporations. He attacked the media–particularly conservative media–for making “childish” arguments. He attacked the banks. And he once again attacked the insurance companies.
Barack Obama attacked the policies of George Bush once again. Though keeping the 41st President nameless, he blamed eight trillion dollars of future debt on his policies. He claimed to come into office with one trillion dollars of debt on his back. He blamed tax breaks and reductions in regulation on the financial crisis.
Barack Obama continued to promote the two major policies which Americans hate most; Democrat healthcare reform and Cap and Trade.
All in all nothing has changed. A rhetorical flourish with dozens of references to himself was no better than a run on the same treadmill. The battle is still on and the Republicans and conservatives are the enemy. Unions are the special interest of choice and the free-market and corporations are the targets at which he has chosen to aim.
